After qualifying at  The London Hospital, he  worked in Practice in Felixstowe and returning to the North west in1987 to work in Skelmersdale. He established Oak Dental care in 1991. He now works predominantly at the Southport practice.  He is also very active in dental politics being the Treasure of central Lancashire LDC for over 20 years, he is also Secretary of Sefton LDC and the Merseyside representative on the General Dental Practice Committee of BDA.

He has been active in the local community as past chairman of Ormskirk Round Table and past president of Ormskirk Clock tower Rotary. He is a past player at Ormskirk Rugby Club where he is a trustee of the club.
